Join Our Warren & Gibson Shield Teams – Expressions of Interest Now Open!

We’re thrilled to announce that Tim Crowe and Kahn Nathan will once again lead our teams in the Warren and Gibson Shield – two of the most enjoyable and prestigious inter-club match play competitions on our calendar.
This year, we’ll be facing off against Lynwood, Balgowlah, and Kareela Golf Clubs in a series of Sunday matches.
Match Dates:July 27, August 3, 10, 17, 24 & 31All matches will be played on Sundays.
Team Details:

We need squads of 12 players per team, as we know not everyone will be available each week.
6 players will compete per match.

Eligibility:

Warren Shield: GA Handicap 11.0 or higher (as of July 27)
Gibson Shield: GA Handicap 17.0 or higher (as of July 27)

Carnarvon GC – Junior Golf Tournament – Monday 20 January 2025

Carnarvon Golf Club is set to hold their next Ray Harrison and Alex Mercer Junior Golf Day on Monday, 20 January 2025. This event is open to all Juniors who hold a current GA Handicap, with a tyro event held in conjunction for beginners (under 12 years of age and without a GA Handicap). This event is run in conjunction with the JNJG Foundation.
Age Groups:Boys & Girls: 15-17 yearsBoys & Girls: 14 years & underBoys & Girls: 12 years & under – Open to beginners without a GA Handicap
CGC Junior Masters – 20-Jan-2025Entries close 10 January 2025.
There will be a Clubhouse presentation to follow the round of golf, which we ask all participants to be present for.

Announcing the appointment of Sailing School Manager

Woollahra Sailing Club is very pleased to announce that Juliet Schilling has been appointed as our Sailing School Manager.  Juliet will lead our Sailing School for students of all ages and work closely with Dan Smith (Sailing Manager and 420 coach)  and Alex Zimmermann (Junior Programme Manager) in developing our Junior and Youth programmes.    
Juliet is well known across the sailing industry as a Sailing School manager and Senior Instructor.  Juliet has managed the Sailing School at Sandringham and Royal Brighton. She brings this experience and a wealth of skills and qualifications to the role. 
Juliet brings with her experience with Discover Sailing Centres, a proven record of accomplishment and extensive knowledge of Australian Sailing Pathways and Programmes. She has a serious passion for the sport of sailing, especially within learn to sail areas.  Juliet also has experience in sports governance through board directorship roles. 

Over the last two years the WSC Sailing School has grown by 200%.  This growth is reflected in revenue, the number of participants in learn to sail, intermediate and performance programmes.  This is in turn reflected in increased membership, many more junior and youth sailors, and participants in club and regatta racing.
