Sail Sydney is finally on at Woollahra Sailing Club for a four days of excitement sailing and we are giving the opportunity to our sailors to share their unique emotions with you.

Most of the time, Brin Liddell and Rhiannan Brown are on the same page.
The two 17 years olds, competing in the Sail Sydney Nacra 15 class, have an easy familiarity with each other that comes from crewing together for two seasons and being friends since they were eight.
And sometimes they even finish each other’s sentences.
For both, passionate parents were their entrée into the sport: Rhinnan’s mum first showed her the ropes when she was just five, Brin’s dad campaigned in Tornadoes at the Barcelona Olympics, while his mum crewed on the tall ship Young Endeavour on its world voyage when she was aged 18.

Rosé Bay 2019 – December 7
The Rosé Bay event will be staged again this year at Woollahra Sailing Club. The festival will be on tomorrow and members will be able to visit the Eventbrite site for Tasting Pack/Ticket sales and receive a 10% discount. 2019 Christmas Party – December 1st

We are very excited to host the 2019 Christmas party at Woollahra Sailing Club from 2.30 to 6.30pm. Come along and enjoy huge water slide and BBQ!
What to bring:
Yourself, your elves, your friends, your reindeer, all dressed Christmassy!
Bring some food to share or enjoy Gigi’s hospitality in the cafe.
Kids bring your water pistols and floating pool toys.
Dress up and come prepared for fun.

Sail Sydney – December 12-15
Sail Sydney is the premier Dinghy sailing event in Australia this year.
The Notice of Race for Sail Sydney 2019 has been released, with Woollahra Sailing Club set once again to be a hive of activity from December 12th – 15th where scores of competitors will battle it out on the waters of Sydney Harbour.
Last year’s event saw more than 300 competitors take part, with both Junior and Olympic Class fleets featuring competitors from New Zealand, Malaysia, Macedonia, Hong Kong and Holland, as well as Australia.
We are expecting another large fleet of local, national and international sailors to take part in 2019.
The Notice of Race is available now.   Online registration for competitors, support boats and volunteers is open.

2018 Australian Sailor Of The Year, and Tokyo Olympics athlete, Matthew Wearn, will compete in the 2019, Sail Sydney regatta, Dec 12-15, Woollahra Sailing Club. Wearn continued to cement his spot on the Australian Sailing Team in the Laser with podium finishes at nearly all major regattas. His dominant year included victories in the Laser Europeans in Porto, Portugal and the Europa Cup in Hyeres, plus a second in the Sailing World Cup, Enoshima, Japan, and fourth overall in the Ready Steady Tokyo Olympic Test Event.
