WSC Stories – 25 September 2021

WSC Stories
During these strange days it feels at times that there is lots happening and simultaneously very little happening.  We would like to take a moment to celebrate some of the good things happening at the Club and around the world.  The big international events at the moment are the Olympics and Paralympics.  Locally WSC Members continue to use the Club and take their vessels out to enjoy the harbour.  In celebration of the varied international nature of of our sports and the Club’s membership we are running a series of “WSC Stories” featuring stories from our members.  If you would like to contribute, or for more information see – About WSC Stories.

WSC Update – September 25th 2021

Returning to sport- #VAXTHENATION
The NSW government has flagged that over the next month lock down restrictions will ease.  It has also indicated that greater liberties will be afforded to people who are fully vaccinated.  The Board of The Woollahra Sailing Club supports these initiatives and encourages all members to get vaccinated.  It is possible that some Club activities and facilities will only be available to people who are fully vaccinated and to children under the age of 12. 
We are expecting Club Racing and Sailing School activities to resume in October.  Please help by getting vaccinated.

Annual General Meeting
Please be advised the 63rd Annual General meeting for Woollahra Sailing Club will be held at 7pm on Tuesday October 5th 2021. The meeting will be held as a Zoom webinar.

Windsurfing NSW Membership

As a WSC member we are able to offer you membership of Windsurfing NSW. Why do you want this? Do you windsurf or wing? Then you need Third Party Public Liability Insurance, affiliation with international class associations and your personal issue AUS sail number for as long as you keep up your WNSW membership. For peace of mind and to be eligible to compete in windsurfing events around the country, and indeed the world, you need affiliation!
For $40 you can affiliate with Windsurfing NSW. We will pass on your Name, Phone number, Email and Postcode and they will arrange the issue of your personal AUS sail number (if you have not already got one) and arrange for you to be covered through the Australian Windsurfing Association’s $20 million 24/7 Third Party Public Liability insurance.
