COVID-19 Policy
Please consult the Club COVID-19 – Coronavirus Policy before each visit to the Club.  In particular please record your details, on one of these contact tracing facilities provided.  Wherever possible please use one of the QR codes. 

WSC Volunteer training day
We are hosting another volunteer training day this year for those wanting to upskill and improve.  It is scheduled for the 5th of December from 12-4pm.

We will run through the following.

Facilities – Safety Responsibilities; Winch Operation – launching On Ramp; Crane Operation – launching from Jetty; Petrol handling; Rescue Boat Prep.

Rescue boat operation – Safety Responsibilities; Start of Day – gear check; Radio Operation; Retrieving Sailors; Towing Boats; Race Buoys– Anchors, Anchor Lines, Buoys;  End of Day – returning gear & reporting incidents/gear repairs.

Sail Sydney 2020 is being run as a COVID safe event.  We are calling on all participants to assist in delivering a safe event.  Please observe the following restrictions:

Comply with instructions from officials.
Keep group sizes small and certain less than 30 people.
At Woollahra Sailing Club the bathrooms will be open but THE CHANGE ROOMS WILL BE CLOSED.
Limited numbers.  To comply with the current social distancing requirements, WSC will only be able to accommodate 70 boats onshore at the club.   We ask for your assistance that you sail from other venues to the racecourse where possible.  Access to WSC will only be for competitors, race management and staff.
Observe social distancing;

Always maintain 1.5 metres between individuals – indoor and outdoor.
Allow 2 sqm per person when in groups both indoor and outdoor.

Observe good hygiene practice:

When arriving at a venue clean your hands with sanitiser or soap.
Use hand sanitiser/soap frequently.

Sydney Harbour Marathon

The cafe will not be trading but please bring your own beer, wine, and food.  The Fridge and BBQ will be on and available for members to use.

The ramp, pontoon, and jetty, located adjest to the Woollahra Sailing Club, is owned, operated, and managed by Transport for NSW (TfNSW).  The Club has a licence to use the facility.  Under that licence the Club has an obligation to maintain the facility and keep it safe.
The ramp and pontoon are available to the public.  However, the only approved public use is the launching and retreival of dinghies on hand held trailers.  The Club and Club members have the same access rights as the public.
The advice from TfNSW is that the pontoon may be used for drop off and pick up.  Maximum mooring time is 15 minutes.  Vessels must not be left unattended.  Vessels left unattended may be fine.  Further, the ramp and pontoon are available to the public for non for profit purposes only.  Commercial use of the ramp, pontoon, or jetty is not permitted and may result in

Please see below the latest advice from Australian Sailing and NSW Department of Health.  In short this advice is a recommendation that if you live outside Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs you should not attend competitive activities at the Club until after 30 September.  This is disappointing, however, we are obligated to pass on the advise.

Do not attend the Club if you have visited Victoria or any of these Sydney hotspots in the last 14 days.
The Club is principally operating as a storage facility with Club racing and some limited training courses.  The Club toilets and changerooms are open.  The Club cafe and all other internal facilities are closed.  This is in accordance with NSW Public Health Orders and cannot be avoided.  The situation is constantly changing.
